PBD tester has many patent techniques such as ZL 2007 2 0092781.7 and ZL 2007 2 0092610.4, and satisfies Chinese standard YB/T 4130 Refractory materials - determination of thermal conductivity (calorimeter).According to the Fourier's one-dimensional steady state heat transfer principle,It obtains the material's thermal conductivity by testing the temperature of hot and cold surfaces of a circular plate specimen and the heat absorbed by the center heater flowing vertically through the specimen.

PBD tester is applicable for testing low thermal conductivity of refractory fibers, heat insulation materials and dense refractories and other solid materials with thermal conductivity not greater than 3.0W/m·K.
