The National Key Laboratory of Advanced Refractory Materials is positioned for basic research on refractory material applications, aiming to solve major scientific and technological problems such as precise material design and multi-objective coordination, green and low-carbon preparation, service evaluation and prediction, create a theoretical and technological system for advanced refractory materials, and create a series of advanced refractory materials for special steel green color purification smelting, energy green and safe development, ultimate energy efficiency of kilns, aerospace and national defense. Director Li Hongxia is a national outstanding engineer, academician of the Asia Pacific Academy of Materials Science, and chief scientist of Baowu, with significant influence in the domestic and international industries. The team has 22 outstanding scientists and high-end talents represented by Academician Sun Jinliang. The laboratory has long formulated a plan for the development of refractory material technology, led the establishment of China's refractory raw material and material technology system, and ranked first in the world in terms of papers; Breakthrough in key refractory material technologies for important basic raw materials, aerospace, national defense, and nuclear power projects, filling the domestic gap; As a leading figure in high-end talent cultivation, technology transfer, and service enterprises, we are irreplaceable and have won 78% of national level science and technology awards in the industry.
