In order to vigorously expand the consumption of steel refractory materials, Sinosteel Luonai has taken the blast furnace tapping groove business as a breakthrough point, continuously improving the tapping groove castable that has been developed for more than ten years. After countless experiments and adjustments, it has successfully developed a series of micro porous high-strength and corrosion-resistant tapping groove castables. This type of castable has a high temperature bending strength twice that of traditional tapping groove castables, and has significant advantages such as strong mechanical erosion resistance and fast drying, greatly extending the service life of tapping grooves and providing solid support for the key production process of blast furnace tapping.
Relying on the high-performance castables and lean construction services of the Luoxin base, the 3200m ³ blast furnace using Sinosteel Luonai microporous high-strength and corrosion-resistant iron groove castables began to produce iron on February 17, 2024, and was offline on March 18. Throughout the entire usage process, there was no need for intermediate repairs, and it was continuously used for 30 days. The maximum amount of iron per groove reached 137200 tons, far exceeding the contractually agreed 120000 tons, creating a new high in the factory's single communication iron volume. Compared with the previous manufacturer's material used by the owner, the usage days increased by about a week, and the residual thickness of the main groove refractory material offline was still around 350mm, which not only greatly improved the service life, but also ensured the operation of the iron groove. Smooth and stable. In terms of construction and maintenance, Sinosteel Luonai also strives for excellence. Construction service personnel are on duty 24 hours a day to ensure that any problems that arise during the iron tapping process in the iron ditch can be responded to and dealt with promptly. Due to the excellent performance of the products on site in the first contract, all 10 iron trench businesses of the 3700m ³ blast furnace (4, 2, 2 in succession) at the same steel plant were handed over to China Steel Luonai. As of now, all 10 blast furnace iron gutters of the steel plant have been put into stable service, achieving a new breakthrough in the successful application of the series of castables used by China Steel Luoyang Iron Ditch in large blast furnaces, and taking solid steps towards the development of steel consumable refractory materials.
