In terms of basic research and key core technology breakthroughs, Sinosteel Luonai has deeply implemented General Secretary Xi Jinping's important discourse on high-level scientific and technological self-reliance and self-improvement, adhered to the "four orientations", and built a scientific and technological innovation system that is oriented towards the needs of high-temperature industries, industry technological progress, and its own healthy development. By utilizing innovative platforms such as the National Laboratory of Advanced Refractory Materials and targeting national strategic needs, it has carried out effective work and possesses multiple independent research and development core technologies such as the preparation technology of special silicon carbide materials for waste incineration power generation and the collaborative improvement technology of key service performance of metallurgical functional refractory materials. The project "Collaborative Research on High Strain Tolerant Structure Design, Construction, and Key Service Performance of Metallurgical Functional Refractory Materials" recently led by me has been supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China Regional Innovation and Development Joint Fund Key Support Project. The project undertaken by China Nuclear Power Engineering Co., Ltd., "Development of Electric Melting Cast Chromium Corundum and Zirconium Corundum Fire Resistant Bricks," successfully passed the factory acceptance for the first ceramic electric melting furnace engineering prototype in China, laying a solid foundation for the localization of ceramic electric melting furnaces. The key project "Research on Key Thermal Insulation Ceramic Materials for Heavy duty Gas Turbines" under the "14th Five Year Plan" National Key R&D Program for Advanced Structures and Composite Materials is being implemented intensively.
The Central Economic Work Conference emphasized the need to strengthen the construction of national strategic scientific and technological capabilities. The project "Functionalization and Green Design, Preparation of Refractory Materials and Their Support for Green Manufacturing of Steel" led by Sinosteel Luonai has won the second prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award. The project has solved the major refractory material problems that have long plagued low-carbon and green manufacturing in the steel industry, supported the high-end and green development strategy of steel, and led the low-carbon, green and high-quality development of refractory materials in China. The project "Research and Application of Low Carbon, Green, New High Performance Series Skateboards for Clean Steel" led by the team won the first prize of Henan Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award. The project provides efficient new green functional refractory materials for the steel industry, meets the needs of safe and efficient smelting of clean steel and special steel, and implements the national resource conservation, dual carbon goals, and low-carbon green development strategy. Sinosteel Luonai is jointly carrying out the restructuring of national key laboratories with key universities. The Sinosteel Luonai New Materials Research and Development Center Building, built based on key laboratories and scientist spirit education bases, will become Zhonggang's science and technology innovation center in the future, as well as a science and technology innovation center with the characteristics of state-owned enterprises. It will help Sinosteel Luonai continue to play a leading role in scientific and technological innovation, leading and driving the high-quality development of the industry.
The Central Economic Work Conference emphasized the implementation of the "Artificial Intelligence+" initiative to cultivate future industries. The annual production line of 100000 tons of new high-temperature functional materials is full of "technological style", equipped with intelligent control center, quality full process intelligent traceability, three-dimensional warehousing and other intelligent equipment systems, which not only improve production efficiency and reduce labor intensity, but also help Sinosteel Luonai steadily move forward on a more high-end, intelligent and green development path. Sinosteel Luonai actively responds to the national "dual carbon" strategy, deeply implements the requirements and deployment of the Central Economic Work Conference on accelerating the comprehensive green transformation of economic and social development, accelerates the construction of the green empowerment industry chain, and has completed the construction of the 10 MW distributed photovoltaic power generation project in two phases, which has recently been fully connected to the grid for power generation, taking solid steps on the road of green and low-carbon transformation. The project "Research on the Damage Mechanism of Refractory Materials for High Temperature Hydrogen Metallurgy Equipment" undertaken by Sinosteel Luonai has recently completed project acceptance and successfully constructed the world's first experimental evaluation platform for simulating the service behavior of refractory materials in the field of hydrogen metallurgy. Corresponding evaluation methods have been established, making positive contributions to the development and promotion of low-carbon metallurgical technology in the steel industry.
