On the morning of December 23rd, 2024, the China Baowu Technology Innovation Conference was held at Baowu Building. The project of "Reducing the Consumption of Silicon Molybdenum Rod in High Temperature Nitrogen Shuttle Kiln" by Sinosteel Luonai has won the Gold Award for Independent Management in Baowu's First "Four Modernizations Cup" Innovation and Efficiency Competition and was commended at the Science and Technology Innovation Conference!
The China Baowu Independent Management Activity Experience Exchange Conference and the first "Four Modernizations Cup" Innovation and Efficiency Competition Independent Management Track Comprehensive Evaluation Event will be held in Ma'anshan from October 16th to 18th. The project "Reducing the Consumption of Silicon Molybdenum Rod in High Temperature Nitrogen Shuttle Kiln" released by Sinosteel Luonai stood out from 24 participating teams and won the gold medal!
As the world's largest production base for silicon nitride combined with silicon carbide products, Sinosteel Luonailuo New Base has a high consumption of silicon molybdenum rods in high-temperature nitriding firing shuttle kilns. The temperature field generated by the silicon molybdenum rod electric heating element is the key to determining the quality of nitriding products firing and the length of firing cycle. Reducing the consumption of silicon molybdenum rods in high-temperature nitrogen shuttle kilns has become a key link to extend the service life of silicon molybdenum rods and improve firing efficiency. In order to solve the constraints on improving production efficiency and achieve the goal of reducing costs and increasing efficiency, the Luoxin base carries forward the fine tradition of independent innovation and establishes a research and development team consisting of 8 people to conduct statistical analysis on the replacement of silicon molybdenum rods during the product firing process. The temperature field inside the kiln is systematically simulated and analyzed, and the corresponding costs are calculated. After more than a year, the key factors affecting high silicon consumption are identified and the system is improved based on actual conditions. The average consumption of silicon molybdenum rods in the furnace is reduced from 249 to 192, with a cumulative cost reduction and efficiency increase of 2.176 million yuan, achieving significant results.
