Recently, the "Steel Refractory Market Supply and Demand Closed door Seminar" jointly organized by the Metallurgical Industry Branch of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the Refractory Industry Associations of Henan, Liaoning and other six provinces was held in Luoyang. China Steel Luonai participated in the seminar as one of the organizers, and Jin Jinguo, Executive Chairman of the Henan Refractory Industry Association, presided over the meeting.

Steel enterprises such as Shougang Group, Hebei Iron and Steel Tangshan Heavy Plate, Baosteel Group, and refractory material enterprises such as China Steel Luonai, Puyang Punai, and Beijing Lier; Nearly 120 representatives from media outlets such as China Metallurgical News, My Steel and Refractory Information, as well as research institutions such as Zhengzhou University and Henan University of Technology, including experts and professors, and leaders from Yichuan County attended the meeting.

The purpose of this conference is to fully implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, cultivate and develop new quality productive forces, and conduct extensive exchanges and discussions around the development situation, market demand, industry hotspots, and common problems of high-temperature industries such as downstream steel. It aims to strengthen collaboration and cooperation among refractory enterprises, interact with upstream and downstream enterprises, carry out relevant exchanges and discussions, build stable industrial chain relationships, and promote high-quality development of the steel and refractory industries.

The leaders of steel companies attending the meeting discussed the current situation: refractory materials are important supporting materials for the safe and stable production of steel, and have been embedded in the steel process and industry chain. Although their cost accounts for a relatively low proportion of steel production costs, their impact is very significant. In the future, refractory companies should speak out more, communicate extensively with steel companies, and attract high attention from steel mills; Winning bids at low prices for refractory materials is unsustainable and not conducive to the stable development of steel. In the research and development of new steel products, refractory materials often cooperate passively. In the future, we should have in-depth communication with steel mills and actively adapt; At present, steel enterprises are also at a critical moment of survival, and it is necessary to seek every penny. Both the supply and demand sides should strengthen cooperation and overcome difficulties together; Refractory material enterprises should not exceed the cost bottom line in bidding. Refractory material enterprises should strengthen technological innovation, improve service capabilities, solve user bottlenecks, deepen mutual integration, increase understanding, and promote mutual trust.

The representative of refractory material enterprises stated that in the current situation, with quality and quantity guaranteed, it is hoped that steel enterprises will choose refractory material specialized and innovative enterprises, enterprises with good performance and reputation, enterprises that are at the forefront of various product segments, and enterprises with strong innovation capabilities when selecting refractory materials. Long term and stable supply and demand relationships should be established, and price reductions should not be unlimited. We should achieve mutual support and promote the green, low-carbon and high-quality development of the industry.

After the seminar, the attending representatives visited the exhibition "Never Forget the Original Aspiration and Eternal Belief - Luonai Employees Remembering Comrade Xi Zhongxun" at China Steel Luonai, and conducted on-site visits and in-depth exchanges at the automation production line of China Steel Luonai Luoyi Base.

This meeting is an effective measure taken by steel and refractory material enterprises to take the initiative and actively respond to the severe situation in the industry. It has strengthened communication and exchange among various enterprises, laid the foundation for further strengthening cooperation in the future, and made positive efforts to build a stable and healthy upstream and downstream relationship in the industrial chain, promoting the high-quality development of the steel and refractory material industry.
