Recently, the on-site summary and exchange meeting on energy efficiency benchmarking of thermal insulation refractory products organized by the Henan Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology was held at Zhonggang Luoyang. Sun Zhimin, Deputy Director of the Energy Conservation and Comprehensive Utilization Department of the Henan Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, Shen Xiaopeng, Deputy Director, Jin Qingguo, Executive Chairman of the Henan Refractory Materials Industry Association, Professor Shi Kai from Henan University of Technology, Professor Jia Quanli from Zhengzhou University, and other leaders and experts, as well as relevant leaders from other lightweight refractory material production enterprises, attended the meeting. Bo Jun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of China Steel Luonai, and Wang Wenwu, Deputy General Manager, attended the meeting, which was chaired by Jin Qingguo.

Bo Jun pointed out in his welcome speech that energy conservation and carbon reduction in enterprises can promote green and low-carbon development in society. Conducting energy efficiency benchmarking activities not only conforms to the national development strategy, but also helps enterprises tap into the potential of energy conservation and consumption reduction, and achieve high-quality development. Lightweight materials, as insulation and refractory products, belong to the characteristic advantageous industry. It is necessary to reduce energy consumption through energy control, equipment improvement, technological innovation, and other aspects, in order to catch up with benchmark enterprises.

Shen Xiaopeng gave a presentation on the national policies for energy conservation and the achievements of the Henan Provincial Government's energy efficiency benchmarking and leading activities in various industries.

Sinosteel Luonai reported the energy consumption per unit product of alumina and zirconia hollow sphere bricks, and compared it with the energy consumption limit standards. It provided a detailed explanation of the technological transformation and production process improvement of alumina hollow sphere brick production lines in recent years. Representatives of insulation and refractory material companies attending the meeting expressed their intention to achieve energy-saving and consumption reduction goals through measures such as optimizing production processes, applying energy-saving technologies, and upgrading and improving equipment.

Sun Zhimin made a concluding speech, analyzing the necessity and implementation path of energy conservation and carbon reduction from the perspectives of national policies, enterprise management, and equipment updates.

After the meeting, the attendees visited and exchanged ideas at the production site of silicon carbide products at the Luoxin base.
