To implement the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, base itself on the new development stage, apply the new development philosophy, further implement the requirements of documents such as the *Outline for Building a Quality-Powered Country* and the *National Outline for the Development of Standardization*, strengthen the quality, brand and standardization construction in the iron and steel industry, and promote the improvement of the industry's quality, the Annual Conference of the Quality and Standardization Working Committee of the China Iron and Steel Association, hosted by Sinosteel Luoyang Refractories Technology Co., Ltd. and co-organized by the Metallurgical Science and Technology Development Center and the Metallurgical Industry Information Standards Institute, was recently held in Luoyang. More than 120 participants from enterprises, universities and industry associations attended the conference.

The Chairman of the China Association for Standardization, Xin Li, attended the meeting and delivered a special report. Leaders including Xu Jianjun, Director of the Standardization Department of the Standard Innovation Department of the State Administration for Market Regulation, Zhang Shanshan, Director of the Quality Department of the Science and Technology Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and Feng Chao, Deputy Secretary General of the China Iron and Steel Industry Association, attended the meeting and delivered speeches. Leaders and experts including Chu Shuangjie, Chief Scientist of China Baowu, Wang Songtao, Dean of Shougang Group Technology Research Institute, and Huang Jiugui, Chief Engineer of Shagang Group, attended the meeting. Li Yu, Deputy Director of the Science and Technology Environmental Protection Department of the Iron and Steel Association, presided over the morning meeting, while Bo Jun, General Manager of China Steel Luonai, delivered a speech and chaired the afternoon meeting.

In his speech, Bo Jun mentioned that as the "eldest son of the Republic" in the refractory industry, China Steel Luonai has shouldered the glorious mission of promoting the development of high-temperature industries such as steel in China since its birth. It has created countless "firsts" in refractory research and development, manufacturing, and application, and has created the refractory brand "Luonai" belonging to China. Sinosteel Luonai has made outstanding contributions to the rapid development of China's refractory industry and high-temperature industry with its advantages in scientific research, technology, talent, and brand. He stated that efforts should be made to actively promote business and innovation collaboration between Sinosteel Luonai and various steel enterprises, strengthen technical exchanges, fully leverage synergies, and work together to promote green, low-carbon, and high-quality development of steel.

The attending leaders and experts gave speeches and invited reports on the transformation and upgrading, high-quality development, and accelerated development of new quality productive forces in the steel industry during the meeting. At the meeting, the China Iron and Steel Industry Association Product Carbon Footprint Standardization Working Group was established and awarded the "Golden Cup Excellent Special Product" for metallurgical product physical quality brand cultivation, the China Iron and Steel Industry Association Group Standard Application Demonstration Project, and the Excellent "Three Products" Case Certificate in the steel industry.

Expert representatives from nine units, including Panzhihua Steel Vanadium Co., Ltd., Inner Mongolia Baogang Steel Pipe Co., Ltd., and Sinosteel Luonai Materials Technology Corporation., gave special reports and shared experiences on enterprise development, brand building, and standardization work.

The 2024 Annual Conference of the Quality and Standardization Working Committee of the China Iron and Steel Association is another high-end industry conference hosted by Sinosteel Luoyang Refractories Co., Ltd.
