2024 is the year of reform for Zhonggang Luoyang. On the occasion of the May Fourth Youth Day, in order to lead the young members of the Communist Youth League to deeply understand the spirit of Jiao Yulu, which is "people-oriented and loving the people, hard work, scientific and practical, facing difficulties and selfless dedication", from April 28th to 29th, the Zhonggang Luoyang Youth League Committee organized more than 50 young members to go to Lankao to carry out the theme group day activity of "Inheriting the Red Gene and Promoting the May Fourth Spirit".

At the Jiao Yulu Memorial Park, young members of the Communist Youth League paid their respects to the martyrs' tombs and recited their oath of joining the league under the monument.

The young members of the group listen and watch, feeling the charm of Jiao Yulu's spirit of the times.

At the entrance of Jiao Yulu Cadre College in Jiaotong Square, young members of the Communist Youth League sat around the paulownia tree planted by Comrade Jiao Yulu himself, quietly listening to the people of Lankao tell the history of Comrade Jiao Yulu leading his fellow villagers to suppress sand dunes, plant paulownia trees, and control salt and alkali, deeply feeling the core of Jiao Yulu's spirit.

At the Jiao Yulu Spirit Experience Education Base, young members experienced farming and the "Three Pests" labor, using labor tools such as unicycles, scaffoldings, shoulder bearers, and baskets to carry out labor experiences such as "turning silt and sand" and "sticking plaster". They personally experienced the great feat of Comrade Jiao Yulu leading the people of Lankao to govern the Three Pests, and deeply felt Jiao Yulu's spirit of fearlessness, perseverance, and tenacious struggle.

Knowing what has always been, knowing where to go. Through this themed group day activity, the young members of the Communist Youth League have gained a more comprehensive understanding and appreciation of the spirit of Jiao Yulu.
