November 9th this year is the 32nd National Fire Day, and November is National Fire Awareness Month.

On November 9th, China Steel Luonai Institute held a kickoff meeting for the Fire Safety Promotion Month activity in the workshop of the 100000 ton new high-temperature functional material production line of the Functional and Amorphous Materials Division. Li Jie, Assistant General Manager of Sinosteel Luonai Institute, Zhai Guohua, Minister of Safety and Environmental Protection Department, Chen Lu, Deputy Manager of Functional and Amorphous Materials Division, and all employees, as well as the main responsible persons, safety officers, and team leaders of the Oxide Division, Composite Materials Division, and Kiln Materials Division, attended the event.

Before the kick-off meeting, the venue played a themed promotional video for the National Fire Safety Promotion Month and a fire safety initiative video for 119 employees of China Steel Luoyang Institute.

At the kickoff meeting, Li Jie led the study of the "Fire Protection Law" and, based on typical fire accident cases and the actual production situation of the institute, put forward requirements for the year-end and winter safety production work of Sinosteel Luonai Institute: personnel at all levels should fulfill their duties, take active actions, fully implement their fire safety responsibilities, solidly carry out fire safety work, ensure the continuous stability of safety production work, and promote the high-quality development of Sinosteel Luonai.

Zhai Guohua conveyed the schedule of the China Steel Luonai Fire Safety Promotion Month and the specific requirements for winter safety production work at the China Steel Luonai Institute. He pointed out that all units should take the Fire Safety Awareness Month as an opportunity to organize special inspections on fire, electricity, and fire-fighting facilities, conduct fire safety training and drills, effectively implement the fire safety responsibilities of personnel at all levels, improve fire safety awareness, fundamentally eliminate hidden dangers of accidents, and ensure safe production.

Chen Lu conducted a comprehensive analysis and judgment of the security risks in the business unit, and proposed targeted preventive measures. The employee representative of the Functional and Amorphous Materials Division explained to the attendees the fire safety risks of their positions and the use of firefighting equipment.

After the kick-off meeting, leaders from China Steel Luoyang Institute led a team to conduct a special inspection of fire safety in the engineering center. On the afternoon of the 9th, a fire safety training was organized in the conference room of the comprehensive building.

Wuhan Naicai launched the "Learn some fire safety knowledge, more safety guarantee" fire safety publicity month activity. On the 9th and 10th, a fire extinguishing drill was organized, which effectively enhanced the fire awareness of all employees through comprehensive drills.

On the afternoon of November 9th, Sinosteel Luonai Refractory Branch organized fire safety training in the multifunctional conference room of the Red Education Base. Minister of Safety and Environmental Protection Wu Bo, key fire prevention staff from various secondary units, and safety management personnel participated in the training and observed the fire drill activities on the same day.

This training invited full-time instructors from the Luoyang Fire Protection Association to give lectures. The training focused on providing detailed explanations of fire safety and prevention measures related to enterprises through a large number of fire cases, illustrated with pictures and text, and easy to understand methods.

After the training, the trainees participated in practical fire drills such as fire escape tent experience, fire hose connection, burlap oil pot fire extinguishing, dry powder fire extinguisher fire extinguishing, and sprinkler truck emergency fire extinguishing at the container cargo location square of the storage and transportation department.

Wu Bo commented on the fire drill activity and put forward requirements, stating that this fire drill activity should be used as an opportunity to enhance emergency response capabilities and effectively master self rescue and escape skills. To enhance fire safety awareness, emergency management should be integrated into all aspects of safety production, and safety work should be further improved and implemented effectively.
